Privacy Policy
What this website collects, where it goes, and how to have it deleted. Plain English, no filler.
What we collect
When you submit the enquiry form we collect your name, phone number, email address, suburb, the type of work you're enquiring about, and anything you write in the message field. The form also records which page of this site you sent it from, so we know what you were reading.
That is the only personal information this website collects. There is no account to create and nothing is collected from you just for reading a page.
Why we collect it
To respond to your enquiry, arrange a site inspection and prepare a quote. We do not sell your information and we do not add you to a marketing list.
Who it goes to — including overseas
Two third parties are involved in an enquiry reaching us, and you should know about both:
- Formspree delivers the form to our inbox. Formspree stores submissions on servers in the United States, so your enquiry leaves Australia at the moment you send it.
- Cloudflare hosts and serves this website. Standard web request records, including your IP address, pass through Cloudflare's network, which operates in many countries.
Your enquiry is then handled by the registered building practitioner who would carry out the work, so that the person quoting your job is the person who has read what you wrote. Nobody else receives it unless we are required by law to provide it.
If you would rather not have your details go through an overseas service, email or call us directly instead of using the form — the contact details are in the footer of every page.
Analytics and cookies
This site sets no cookies and runs no analytics, advertising or tracking scripts. We do not know who visits, only what Google Search Console tells us in aggregate about which searches the site appears in. If that ever changes, this section changes with it.
How we hold it
Enquiries live in our email and in the Formspree account, both protected by passwords and two-factor authentication. No system is perfectly secure, and we would rather say that than imply otherwise.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not become jobs are deleted within twelve months. Where we have done work for you, records are kept for seven years, which is the period business and tax records must be retained.
Access, correction, deletion and complaints
Email [email protected] to see what we hold about you, correct it, or have it deleted. We will respond within 30 days. Tell us if you are not satisfied with how we handled it and we will look at it again; if you are still not satisfied you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au or on 1300 363 992.
Changes
If this policy changes we update the review date at the top of this page. It is not changed automatically when the site is rebuilt.
